Position Overview

In this position, the Java Developer will work as part of a tight-knit and growing software development team working on an Enterprise-class CRM used by Federal and State Office Holders. The position will largely involve coding in Java/JBoss/Seam Ajax/JS, HTML, and Transact SQL, but will also include the maintenance of other products written in Adobe’s ColdFusion 8/9.

Responsibilities

* Perform server-based framework development and its deployment into complex high-transaction-rate application.
* Undertake Java server framework and application development using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 relational databases together with some open-source tools.
* Work with minimal supervision on analysis tasks, and with little or no supervision on development tasks.
* Design, develop, maintain and implement software modules in a given product.

Requirements

* 4-6 years of experience in server-side Java application development techniques and technologies
* Bachelor’s degree in IT or computer science/engineering
* Prior involvement in the design, development and maintenance of Java deployment and delivery frameworks, either open-source or commercial
* Expert knowledge of JBoss Products (JBoss Application Server, JBoss Rules, JBoss Seam)
* Expert knowledge of Hibernate, jMock, SVN, TestNG, Ant and Eclipse
* Expert knowledge of Javascript, DHTML, XHTML, CSS and Ajax
* Expert knowledge of Apache product suite, especially Tomcat
* Exposure to SQL/JDBC implementation using Microsoft SQL Server 2005
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Experience in product development, documentation and full software development life cycle
* ColdFusion 8 development experience preferred
* Microsoft IIS 6/7 Management experience preferred
