Senior Research Scientist in the research domain "Embodied Interaction"

Successful applicants have recently completed a doctoral degree, e.g., in design research, HCI, user experience, or other disciplines related to the areas mentioned.

The Senior Research Scientist should work within the Design Research Lab for both independent and collaborative interdisciplinary projects. Besides, (s)he should also contribute actively to the research and intellectual development of Ph.D. students, to teach when opportunities arise and to build international collaborative networks. The focus of the research theme lies in the development and investigation of new interaction principles for information and communication technologies, among other things for mobile interaction. The Sernior Research Scientist should therefore have comprehensive knowledge and competence in the HCI context as well as interests in one or more of the following areas:

* Interaction Design (Hard/Software)
o Conception
o Prototyping
o Realization
o Evaluation
* Research Methods in Design
o Qualitative Methods
o Quantitative Methods
* Embodied HCI
* Design Theory
* Excellent English skills
* Team player
