Jupiter 6 Resonance control dead...

renovated. Now getting set up again and started noodling with my Europa upgraded JP6 and noticed that the resonance slider does nothing, no matter the patch or filter mode setting. Like, no modification to the sound whatsoever, completely independent of the filter cut off setting as well (and all filter mods pulled down to zero). Everything else seems fine. Seems pretty weird to me. Just want to make sure I'm not being a rusty dumbass and forgetting something before I send this off to my tech. Anyone else experience this problem or have any advice? resonance by MIDI CC and this turns out to be the case. So the resonance itself is fine, just the control from the panel-top slider pot. I suppose replacing the slider would do the trick, but I'm not used to slider pots just going from working 100% to completely failing. Hopefully this is the case. Again, any advice or suggestions from anyone would be most appreciated! I had a JP6 on my work bench which showed the same behaviour but with Decay of Env-1. Indeed the slider itself was broken; even when I selected a stored patch, the broken slider immediately overwrote the stored parameter value as if I had moved the slider. Replacing the slider solved the problem (in fact I replaced all the sliders and potentiometers, which made the JP6 feel more solid even than new - documentation see http://fa.utfs.org/diy/rolandjp6/restoration/) Florian Lee wrote: > Ok, I forgot to do one obvious test: with the Europa mod I can control the > resonance by MIDI CC and this turns out to be the case.
