KMail in KDE4

Just converted to kde4 from kde3

When I hover with the mouse cursor over mail folders or mail titles a info-box
keep popping up. I find this very annoying. have tried to find an option to
turn this off. Is this possible ? (should this kind of functionality be
optional and not default ?)

Any input appreciated.

Sven

You may also find it helpful to look at the Configuration section of
http://userbase.kde.org/KMail/FAQs_Hints_and_Tips - it deals with the tooltips
on folders, for instance.

Thank's. Solved!

I have a feeling the userbase.kde.org is getting better all the time. Stopped using it earlier when I could not find the answers there.

/Sven

Comment: The folders settings by right clicking the folder header I would never have found! Strange this is not in the kmail-settings along with the other general options

Good and useful documentation is hard. Actually IMHO harder than creating good
and useful software.

The communication between developer and machine is well defined, so the "only"
problem is the complexity of the task.
The communication between the person writing documentation and the one reading
it is not: It requires extraordinary skills to put ones knowledge into words
which are helpful for those who want to acquire that knowledge.

However, since UserBase is a collaborative effort, it is possible for anyone
who did understand the content after some thinking or trial&error to to
improve wording and/or add details so it gets easier for the next person in
search for help.

Cheers,
Kevin

As Kevin said, we are working on it all the time, and do welcome all the help
we can get.  Tips about solutions found on mailing lists are especially useful
additions.

I've been using KMail since early 2002 and I'm still finding things I didn't
know exist.  I still have to ask Ingo about some things that I can't find.  I
suspect that a lot of changes will occur with the Akonadi version to come, so
doing as much documentation as we can, ourselves, for the current version is
probably the best way we can help devs get on with the joys to come :-)
Mostly that will be in adding a sentence or two to the KMail pages in
UserBase.
