KMail presenting some new competition

How many of you have seen the new features in the latest version of KMail,
1.9.6? There's a new thing called templates. They're per-identity sets of
message formatting rules/layouts with an ENORMOUS number of available
variables to include (see the attached screenshot). This is essentially what
QuickQuote could (should) become in the future. KMail beat Thunderbird to a
quite elegant implementation of this feature!

Note that the original request for this feature was KDE Bug 1015, filed in
March 1999. So maybe QuickQuote development isn't so slow after all. ;)
