KMyMoney 1.0.2 OFX issues
Hello.
I am currently using "kmymoney-unstable-0.9.2-0.pm.cvs20081231.i586.rpm" from Packman on Opensuse 11.1 / KDE 4.3. I tried upgrading to 1.0.2 from OpenSuse, but lost my OFX capability. I waited until Packman updated their package, and tried updating again, but no avail. I can run 1.0.2 fine, but there is no OFX import option available, and I can't download from my bank anymore either. It gives me an error about format, XML, and using 0.8 version (i can't remember exactly. I need to look at it again when I get home) When I go into "Settings", the plugin shows up, but it won't work. If I right click on an account the option for enabling online access is greyed out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards Craig Lindholm still using 0.9.2 :-( ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! I don't know if the version mentioned a few hours earlier on the Developer list is better. Have you tried that one? I would use the one from CVS, if I were you, and if the latest openSuse one doesn't help. Allan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! When you say "> When I go into "Settings", the plugin shows up,....", just to be certain, is that definitely the OFX plugin, or the KMM banking one? You could try to use http://packman.links2linux.de/package/kmymoney/108836 and install the packages listed there. Uninstall everything else you have regarding KMM before you install (just to be sure). > I tried upgrading to 1.0.2 from OpenSuse, but lost my OFX capability. Re: KMyMoney 1.0.2 OFX issuesThe RPMs from Packman still didn't work.
I tried installing from source, and after a few tries due to ofx woes, I finally got the right libraries installed!!!!! YE HAH!!!!! 1.02!!!!! However, this was ridiculously time consuming. There has got to be a different way or better installation instructions. For example which ofx packages are required? libofx, libofx4, libofx-devel, or libofx-tools, or all of them? Currently, I have, in addition to "kmymoney2-1.0.2.tar.bz2", installed: libofx4 -0.9.1-42.pm.42.1 - OFX Command Parser (shared library) libofx-devel -0.9.1-42.pm.42.1 - OFX Command Parser and API (devel) libofx-tools -0.9.1-42.pm.42.1 - OFX Command Parser and API libkmm_kdchart0 -1.0.2-42.pm.42.1 - Shared library for kmymoney kmm_kbanking -0.9.10-0.pm.1 - KMyMoney - Banking plugin libkmm_plugin0 -1.0.2-42.pm.42.1 - Shared library for kmymoney Do I need them all? I don't know. Also, now that I have it installed, how do I uninstall it when I upgrade next time? All so frustrating.....Thank you all for your help though Best Regards Craig Lindholm On Thursday October 22 2009 11:19:12 pm Thomas Baumgart wrote: > On Thursday 22 October 2009 20:37:04 Craig Lindholm wrote: > > Hello. > > > > I am currently using > > "kmymoney-unstable-0.9.2-0.pm.cvs20081231.i586.rpm" > > <http://packman.unixheads.com/suse/11.1/i586/kmymoney-unstable-0.9.2-0.pm > >.c vs20081231.i586.rpm> from Packman on Opensuse 11.1 / KDE 4.3. > > You could try to use http://packman.links2linux.de/package/kmymoney/108836 > and install the packages listed there. The libofx-devel is only useless if installing from a binary rpm. > Also, now that I have it installed, how do I uninstall it when I upgrade > next time? make uninstall > > All so frustrating.....Thank you all for your help though > Yes, it is always easier to get it from the distribution medias... it is done for that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
