KPiolt HelpSituation: I own a Palm IIIc, which I have been HotSyncing with my Windows computer. This Pilot was damaged recently, and now the touchscreen is cracked, rendering it impossible to enter my password to use or HotSync it. I am now purchasing a new Palm IIIc which will be delivered to me in a few days. However, before it arrives I will be moving to University, leaving behind the Windows computer and taking my Linux laptop.
Issue 1: I know it is possible, when a Palm has been replaced or suffered a Hard Reset, to HotSync back all the files, redering the (new|post-reset) Palm identical to the (old|pre-reset) one. Is this posible using a Windows configuaration folder and KPilot HotSync software? If so, how? Issue 2: The laptop lacks a serial port. Does KPilot support HotSyncing using an internal IR port? Does it support an external, USB IR port? If it does, how do I use them? P.S. Is their any way, Windows or Kpilot, to enter the password from the computer side of the HotSync? If their was, I could simply HotSync my existing Pilot with KPilot, thus solving Issue 1. -- So many books, so little time... - Anon. _______________________________________________ KDE PIM users mailing list kdepim-users@... https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-users |

If you have a bunch of .pdb files, yes. > Issue 2: The laptop lacks a serial port. Does KPilot support HotSyncing > using an internal IR port? Does it support an external, USB IR port? Unfortunately, no. The hotsync *has* to be started on the HH side, usually by pressing the button on the cradle. -- These are your friends - Adem GPG: FEA2 A3FE Adriaan de Groot _______________________________________________ KDE PIM users mailing list kdepim-users@... https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-users |
