I and Rafael António had approval privileges for Portuguese ("pt") -
http://translate.koha.org/pt/ - in the old Koha Pootle.

Could you please grant the same privileges in the new Koha Pootle? My
Pootle username is "ricardo" and Rafael's is "rafael".

I think that the new version of Pootle is a good update.
For me i easiet to use now.

Only a tip.

On my video (1024*768 pixel, LCD 17 inch, 32 bit color)
the box with the link to the template is too little.
I need to read easly the link with the original template, for example
the link:
../../koha-tmpl/opac-tmpl/prog/en/modules/opac-userupdate.tmpl:152

Suggestion for the future.
Now on Pootle I can only read the link to the original source of the string.
Is it possibile, in the future, a direct http link to the template on
the correct line ?

Upgraded Pootle

Hi All

I have upgraded pootle, and it is much nicer and faster now.

All the users upgraded fine, the only thing that didn't upgrade
successfully is the permissions for each language.
So if people can email me with their usernames and which language they
want rights on. And I will update the permissions

What you basically have to do is merge the 2 files using msgmerge then
upload the new one into pootle.

Someone tell me there is a lot of strings changed between Koha 3.0.x versions. Is that true? And between this ones and Koha 3.2? How stable are Koha 3.2 strings? There is a string freeze date spected for Koha 3.2? I don't know when there is going to be released Koha 3.2, at least a RC version.

Those strings are apparently what msgmerge uses to tell it is a .po file.
Without them it simply stops. Strange but true :)

Great! Now I get the expected "The install seems to be successful." at
the end of the "./install-code.pl pt-PT" execution. I also checked the

Thanks for the answer Chris, but the most recent Portuguese OPAC PO
file that I see in git is the one from December 4, included in your
"Opac po file updates" commit that has updated this and many other
OPAC files:

I did a "git pull --rebase" from that 3.0.x branch, and that's the
most recent commit that I get, as well. I ran the "./install-code.pl
pt-PT" again, just in case, but I got again the message
"po/pt-PT-i-opac-t-prog-v-3000000.po: PO file is corrupted, or not a
PO file".

The md5sum of the "pt-PT-i-opac-t-prog-v-3000000.po" file that I'm
using is "b9b0cda407bc0298a9ec3427848360c7". Is this the right one?

Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible that you forgot to push the
Portuguese PO OPAC file that has the correction that you mentioned?

Hi Ricardo

Yep, there was a corrupt character in the po file, I removed it if you
get the latest version from git, that should be good
http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=Koha;a=shortlog;h=3.0.x

All the po files have been updated since the 4th.

I just updated the Staff and OPAC Portuguese PO files from your Dec 4
git commit (29ac0558e03c08a088a633f9cb965db014b57ead) for the 3.0.x
branch and I'm getting the following error at the end of the
"./install-code.pl pt-PT" command output:
"po/pt-PT-i-opac-t-prog-v-3000000.po: PO file is corrupted, or not a
PO file".

Are you aware of this? Should I (try to) do anything on my side to

I have logged in at translate.koha.org in the past ... and suggested
some strings to the spanish translation...

Now that all the po files have been updated, I have downloaded the po
file again, but noted that none of my suggestions made it to the
'official' po file.

So... maybe I'm doing something wrong or I missing some step (cause I
don't think my suggestions were that bad!!)

To have dev version and translation in syncron

Hi to all,

this a generic question.
In fact the dev version change everyday.
Today to translate we ask of a stop in commit, than translate.

But, as I see, it is impossible to really stop develop.
It also normal that during 10-15 days for translation we found big bugs.

So, is it possible to automanitc update every night the strings on Pootle ?
I thing we need to work on it.
I can offer my work on doing this task.

Update translations for 3.0.5

Hi All

There were some strings that missed being translated for 3.0.4, these
have been fixed now and I have updated all the .po files at
translate.koha.org. 3.0.5 will be released shortly, mostly to fix the
translations, so if you have time, please spend some time making sure
your language is up to date.

Hi!

I'm a humanities computing student in venice that is triyng to do a thesis on Koha.
First of all you need the translation files (.po), that you should find in misc/translator/po/ or can download from http://translate.koha.org/it/ depends on which version you want to use.
For the installation of the italian template you should follow the instruction of misc/translator/translator_doc.txt.
It's possible that you must change opaclanguagedisplay under system preferences, for enabling language switch.

Sono uno studente di informatica umanistica all'università di Venezia e sto facendo una tesi su Koha.
Prima di tutto hai bisogno dei file di traduzione (.po), che dovresti trovare in misc/translator/po oppure puoi scaricare da http://translate.koha.org/it/ dipende dalla versione che stai usando.
Per l'installazione del template italiano dovresti seguire le istruzioni che trovi in misc/translator/translator_doc.txt.
E' probabile che dovrai cambiare il valore di opaclanguagedisplay nelle preferenze di sistema per poter abilitare il passaggio da una lingua all'altra.

I'm interesting to install the koha project for the public library of
my small city in sicily.

I'm searching for the italian translation, but unfortunatly I cannot
find it in the wpages.

koha seems to do alot of things we do not need at the moment, anyway
I'm interested to get in touch with italian users of it.

Koha is translated into italian.
But you need to download the code of last stable relaase
(http://download.koha.org/koha-3.00.04_fixed.tar.gz)
and install it with italian language.

I'm the coordinator of italian translation.
In the 3.0.4 we don't' translate the strings on button
for a bug on translation process.
