Konqueror as root under 2009.1

Installed 2009.1, with KDE 3.5

-Open a Konsole
-su to root
-run "konqueror"
The Konqueror windows opens, but is is impossible to do anything with it, go
to a media, open a fdir, etc. All I get is message windows about mime types.

Runs normally as user.

Did some control freak at Mandriva decide from on high that "Thous shallt not
run Konqueror as root" ?

Or WTF ?

Did you try it as "su" or "su-"? You need to enter as "su-" under KDE
to get Dolphin/Konqi running. Konqueror under root works fine for me
over here.

My bad, it is "su -", there is a space between the "su" and "-"
