LAM please!Another suggestion for all you talented linux-using musicians and
composers: please consider making an entry on LAM http://lam.fugal.net linking to your work. ( I know some of you do already: Will, Tapani, Ken.) It only takes a minute, and it makes much easier for people to find your work, especially after some time has passed. Plus we end up with a public repository of our best efforts. all the best, G. _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@... http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user |

You can then link the entire page or make direct links to individual tracks as you wish. About the only stipulation they make is that the material has to be on a Creative Commons license or public domain. -- Will J Godfrey http://www.musically.me.uk Say you have a poem and I have a tune. I appreciate that in some parts of the world that might be far too expensive, but then there is always trusty old www.archive.org. all the best, G. _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@... http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user |

I wasn't aware of that :( You just need to make sure you're using the 'main' link to an item and not the uglier link which names a specific server (because the data is held on server farms, similar to mirroring services). I've been using archive.org for many years without changing any of the links! Our podcast - http://www.flatfourradio.co.uk/ stores its podcast files on archive.org (and the live stream is served from icecast on our home server) Best Dan _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@... http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user |

Hmm, last time I tried (long while ago), I got ugly links to specific servers, but if I go to one of my item pages now, I see "clean" links.
