LG Touch, contacts error

When trying to send contacts to the LG Touch after adding a name, I get
an error message (see below). I am using Bitpim 1.0.7.20090805 on Ubuntu
8.04.

Yesterday I was able to send new contacts to the phone, but the LG shut
off, then rebooted. Today, I receive the error, upon repeated attempts.
What should I do to get the contacts to work? Is the phone supposed to
shut off, then restart?

I'm a noob to BitPim, but my LG env3 also reboots after sending the contacts to the phone. Judging from the log, this is normal:

I don't know what to tell you about the error though.
