I pulled out my old LG VX8700. I couldn't get used to the touch screen of my LG Voyager. I was very successful using Bitpim on my Voyager without additional drivers.
My problem - When I send the phone book with "replace all" option to my 8700, everything appears correctly except all contacts have the default ring tone assigned to them. I have mp3 ring tones in the phone as well as in a ringers folder on the sd card. Even manually deleting contacts and reloading the phone book didn't work.
Any resolution? My phone has SW version T87VZ02. I have the USB cable that came with the Verizon music kit.
Also this model phone reportedly had bugs that prevented it from pairing with many BT head sets. Has anyone found a fix for that?
Now looking at the Samsung Alien 2.......
