I re-read AJ Edgar's post, and downloaded the test version of BitPim 1.0.7, as well as the LG modem driver that he said that he was using, and still no joy.  The exception message is below, and again, any help would be greatly appreciated.  yt1300slf@...

Thanks again,

Jerry N.

Hi Jerry,

Yup, we're just going to have to wait for the vx11000 to be supported by bitpim.

The telephone contact information database used with the Env Touch changed since the Env Voyager (vx10000) so bitpim will need to be updated.

I have successfully used the vx10000 setting to sync the calendar and to transfer ringtones.

AJ,
I was hoping for a better answer, I don't mind saying, j/k, but pehaps there is something that you can help me with.  I have loaded ringtones onto my phone using the Voyager settings, but that is all that I have been able to do.  Everytime that I load them on the phone, the phone goes through a re-start, and I loose the settings in bit-pim.  Any thoughts?  Also, I have been backing up messages with bit-pim because of, well, Issues we'll say, with my ex-wife, is there any way that anyone knows of that I can get the thing to back up txt and sms now, while we are waiting for the update that will support the VX11000?
