LZ interfaces on different two parallel displays?Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a second display to use it parallel with the existing. Is it possible to place interfaces of Lightzone like the browser pane, the folder pane, the zone mapper, the sharpen tool etc. onto the second display? In other words: I like to use the whole space of one display for the edited picture and the other display for everything else. Did anaybody tried that? My System: Kubuntu 6.10 Thank you. Re: LZ interfaces on different two parallel displays?I must say, that's a good idea. I have a dual display myself but haven't
tried to use it with Lightzone. I guess that's one advantage of the "floating menu" concept, like what the gimp and (to some extent) photoshop uses (or used to use, haven't used photoshop for many editions). I don't know if there's any work on the table for lightzone to be able to switch between the two. If not, may i suggest it? Re: LZ interfaces on different two parallel displays? There are two ways you can use LightZone with a second display:
You can open two LightZone windows. They will be completely independent and noninteracting, but if you have the memory to support it, you might find this useful. Or, you can stretch the LightZone window to be extra wide, so the image you're working on occupies one entire screen, while the tools that go with it land on the other. The browser at the bottom will be devided. No, I don't think I would like working with an LZ stretch limo. To enjoy using two displays it needs panes/ pallets which could be separated - IMHO.
