Language Redirect extension

I'm trying out the language redirect extension on my dev/test
environment without success. I've read various mailing list threads on
it, the README file in the extension, as well as the wiki page in the
old trac wiki. (So I think I'm not making known newbie mistakes...)

Anyway I get no redirect at all when I view the site's root page. Has
anyone tried this extension since the 0.6.4 release? Any suggestions
would be much appreciated.

Fedora Core 4
radiant - (Rev 631 which post-dates 0.6.4 to include some page caching
fixes)
lighttpd v1.4.11
Extensions (leaving out the standards - archive, textile, etc.)

Solved it... I finally looked at the Page Type selection for my root
page; set it to "Language Redirect" and it works perfectly.
