Launching Geoserver on a MacHello,
I just wrote a "droplet" that makes launching Geoserver on a macintosh a bit easier, particularly for users that are not experts in unix commands. Just unzip the droplet anywhere on your machine and then drop the folder which contains your geoserver install onto the droplet, which will set the right environment settings, run the provided unix bin/ startup.sh script, and then open Geoserver in Mozilla Firefox. Both the droplet and your geoserver install can be placed in any directory on your machine. Anyone interested can download the zipped "droplet" here: http://www.danespringmeyer.com/geoserver_droplet.zip Cheers, Dane ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Wondering if we could make the droplet be part of the standard gs-bin.zip distribution. Chris, you're on a Mac these days. Would it make sense?
