Lenovo X41T Tablet PC stylus

Hi, I have a Lenovo X41T tablet PC running Windows XP which I'd like to
use with gimp (using 2.4.6), but currently the stylus is treated as a
normal mouse rather than getting me the right sample rate, pressure
sensitivity, etc.  I also see No extended input devices found; am I
supposed to install Wacom drivers?  Thanks in advance for any help.
