Interesting. I think though that there are symlinks in
libctapi-cyberjack2.

No, I'd rather guess that it's a bug in dpkg regarding symlinks and
conffiles, which causes this behaviour. I haven't checked the situation
in detail yet, but it looks quite similar to what Marc Haber describes
in http://bugs.debian.org/421344

So it could well be, that the file had been deleted manually before and
the packages were not purged when removed. Then dpkg noticed that the
configuration file had been removed and did not change that during
re-installation until it was purged.

Actually, it was on a system where previous versions had been installed. I had
this problem with Debian5 and Ubuntu 9.04 (I can't remember if the problem
were also present on my Debian 4 and older Ubuntu's).

Was that on a new system or have you had libctapi-cyberjack2 installed
and removed before?

Could it be that the conffile is executable?

Did anybody else on this list experience this problem? Could you please
run `dpkg` with `--debug=21` (next time)?

Oddly enough, I had the same problem: I verified that the rules file actually
*is* inside the dpkg package, but still dpkg silently ignores it.

I then went ahead and deinstalled the package with the purge command ("apt-get
purge libctapi-cyberjack2") and reinstalled it. I don't know why but after
that the rules file was installed...

Anyway, I don't know enough about the guts of dpkg to have an idea why dpkg
would silenty ignore files inside a package but still installs them when
purging the predecessor first...

Long story made short, I must have deleted myself sometimes in the past.
I cannot remember though, that I did that.

/etc/udev/rules.d/z80_cyberjack.rules is probably a symlink. The file it
points to should be part of the package libctapi-cyberjack2. If it isn't
it's a bug in the package.

Could this be an error of the udev rules? Hmm, looking at the package
content

$ dpkg -L libctapi-cyberjack2 | grep udev

I did not find the rules file on my system.

$ LANG=C ls -l /etc/udev/rules.d/z80_cyberjack.rules
ls: cannot access /etc/udev/rules.d/z80_cyberjack.rules: No such file or directory

How can this be? I installed the package using `sudo dpkg -i …`.

[Reiner SCT] CTAPI: Could not open device at 0

Dear libchipcard hackers,

I want to get my

$ lsusb
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0c4b:0300 Reiner SCT Kartensysteme GmbH cyberJack pinpad(a)

running under Debian unstable/sid. I installed the current version from
the ReinerSCT Web site [1].

ii libctapi-cyberjack2 3.3.2-1 REINER SCT cyberJack pinpad/e-com USB user s

ii libchipcard-data 4.2.8-1 configuration files for libchipcard

I think the reader is recognized by the system.

$ chipcard-tool list
Server: 4a7db794
Readers:
- auto1-cyberjack2 (cyberjack2, port 0)

After it did not work right away I followed the hint after a run of
`cyberjack` and I removed ifd-cyberjack2 (and pcscd). After doing so,
inserting a card does not even get the reader to blink.

So this is the current situation shown by running `cyberjack`.

$ cyberjack
BEGIN: ermittle Distribution (0/6)

Aqbanking hat in der jüngsten Version, die ich hier noch Rechner
gefunden habe 2.2.3. Die könnte auch zuvor installiert gewesen sein.

Ja, war wohl so, leider stürzt qbankmanager nach entfernen der
Lockdatei gleich wieder ab wenn ich versuche die Aufträge auszuführen:

qbankmanager: banking_online.c:677: AB_Banking_GetCryptToken:
Zusicherung »tname« nicht erfüllt.

Martin fragte gestern dazu:

Ja habe ich. Die genaue Version kann ich nicht mehr sagen, könnte aber
0.9.22 gewesen sein. Auf jeden Fall wurde eine 2er-Version von
aqbanking verwendet. Alles etwas älter also ;)
Die Daten wurden beim ersten Neustart (angeblich erfolgreich)
importiert. Ich meine allerdings ich hätte schon eine erfolgreiche
Überweisung nach dem Update gemacht, ich kann das aber nicht mit
Sicherheit sagen - vielleicht irre ich mich auch.

Ja, du musst natürlich erst wieder den pcscd installieren und zum Laufen
kriegen (hattest Du ja schonmal hinbekommen). D.h sobald pcsc_scan
wieder Informationen zur eingesteckten Karte liefert, kann dann auch
"chipcard-tool atr" die gewünschte Ausgabe liefern. Eventuell ist das
aber mit der Installation der Pakete pcscd und pcsc-omnikey (letzteres
aus non-free) schon getan.

Gerade habe ich noch was anderes herausgefunden. Wenn der Kartenleser
mit dem pcscd läuft (pcsc_scan liefert bei Dir ja ordentlich viele

Dir ist da wohl mal was abgestuerzt. Schaue mal in
$HOME/.aqbanking/settings/users/ nach, dort findest Du vermutlich *.LCK-

Ich werde da demnaechst mal einbauen, dass stale locks geloescht werden.

Hi Frank,

ich verwende auch den Reiner unter Debian (allerdings in der 64-bit Variante).
Bei mir sehen die Ausgaben von cyberjack ziemlich ähnlich aus. An sich scheint
der Leser zu funktionieren. Du solltest jedoch mal probieren, was es ausgibt,
wenn Du es als Benutzer chipcard startest.

@Martin: Mir fiel auf, dass Franks Gerät eine neuere Firmware besitzt. Habe
ich auf der Reiner Homepage nicht als Download finden können. Bekommt man das
irgendwo her und ist ein Update sinnvoll? Du hattest mir auch mal eine
Firmware geschickt gehabt, mit der dann die INPUT/OUTPUT-Sachen der CT-API
aktiviert wurden. Ist das in neuerer Firmware nun direkt drin oder braucht man
das immer ein spezielles Build? Oder war das nur ein zusätzliches Modul?

Moin,

mir fallen da gleich mehrere Dinge auf: erstens laufen bei Dir chipcardd2 und
4. Eigentlich reicht einer von beiden, allerdings sind beide Dienste recht
kooperativ, sie koennen zwar nicht gleichzeitig auf den gleichen Leser
zugreifen, blockieren ihn aber auch nicht, wenn sie ihn nicht benutzen.
Sollte also keine Probleme machen.

Mit faellt aber auf, dass die Geraete-Datei in Deiner ersten Logdatei der
Gruppe "root" gehoert, in der 2. cyberjack.xml aber korrekterweise
"cyberjack". Letzteres scheint jetzt also ok zu sein.

Nun ist es unter Debian-Systemen so, dass der Dienst "chipcarddX" unter einer
eigenen Benutzerkennung laeuft (ich glaube "chipcard"). Diese ist also nicht
root und hat folglich auch keine Rechte, auf den Leser zuzugreifen.

Du musst daher auch den Benutzer "chipcard" in die Gruppe "cyberjack" packen,
z.B. so:

"adduser chipcard cyberjack"

Nach einem reboot sollte es klappen.

Warum auch immer, nach einem Reboot beklagt sich fxcyberjack jetzt
nicht mehr. Scheint also erstmal zu klappen.

Leider habe ich jetzt ein anderes Problem. Wenn Qbankmanager versucht
Aufträge auszuführen bleibt die Ausführung bei "Locking user
XXXXXX..." hängen und bricht mit "Could not lock user xxxxx...
(-109)" ab.
Wenn ich das richtg verstehe klappt da dann doch wieder irgendwie der
Leserzugriff nicht?
Testweise habe ich mal "chipcard-tool check" probiert:

ich habe hier nun den Reiner SCT cyberjack e-com (idVendor=0c4b,
idProduct=0400) leider aber Probleme den zum laufen zu bewegen.
Ich habe die aktuelle Treiberversion 3.3.2 von der Reiner HP geholt,
gebaut und installiert.
Der Leser wird vom System erkannt. Leider kann ich aber nicht
zugreifen.

System ist debian unstable i386 mit einem 64bit Kernel 2.6.30, da das
aber soweit ich das verstehe ein reiner Userspace-Treiber ist sollte
das keine Unterschied machen, oder?

cyberjack.xml habe ich angehängt.

Man mag hier nicht gerne Empfehlungen aussprechen, aber bekannterweise kann
man hier Geraete von Kobil und Reiner SCT verwenden.

Zumindest die Kobil-Leser, die auch ueber den freien CCID-Treiber laufen, kann
ich empfehlen. Fuer Reiner SCT unterhalte ich den Linux-Treiber, daher kann
ich die Leser auch empfehlen (wuerde aber darauf achten, neuere Leser zu
bekommen, also mit ProductId 0x300 oder 0x400/0x401).

Die genannten Leser betreibe ich hier selbst auch (Kobil Kaan Advanced USB und
alle RSCT-Leser).

Du kannst auch mal auf der Seite vom freien CCID-Treiber schauen, da sind auch
eine ganze Menge Leser aufgelistet. Ich kann aber nicht sagen, welche davon
hier verfuegbar sind, und getestet habe ich die auch noch nicht mit
Homebanking (bis auf ein paar).

Welchen Kartenleser?

Hi

Ich brauche einen neuen Leser, da mein alter serieller Towitoko am
neuen Rechner leider keine Anschlußmöglichkeit mehr findet. Mit
welchem Leser habe ich am wenigsten Scherereien? Nutzung ist
vorwiegend Homebanking mit HBCI. Es muss nicht unbedingt einer mit
eigener Tastatur sein, darf aber...
Ich verwende die Pakete aus debian unstable, sollte also aktueller
Stand sein.

KVK mit SCR335 lesen

Hallo,

ist es möglich, mit dem SCM SCR335 KVKs zu lesen?
Ich bekomme das jedenfalls nicht unter Ubuntu Jaunty zum Laufen.

Der Reader wird erkannt, aber offensichtlich nicht das Einführen der Karte:

Schick doch bitte mal die Ausgabe von pcsc_scan bei eingesteckter
HBCI-Karte über die Mailingliste. Vielleicht sehen wir dann schon was,
ob es mit der Karte überhaupt klappen kann und ob sich der Aufwand, den
libchipcard korrekt zum Laufen zu kriegen, überhaupt lohnt.

ausgehe), hast du leider ganz schlechte Karten: Die werden nicht
vollständig unterstützt, so dass der libchipcard Daemon damit leider

Um hier Gewissheit zu kriegen: Ein erster Schritt wäre, den
Chipcard-Daemon zum Laufen zu kriegen, um dann im zweiten Schritt die
grundlegenden Kartenparameter auszulesen. Wenn der Chipcard-Daemon schon
läuft und korrekt konfiguriert ist, schick uns doch mal die Ausgabe der
Befehle "chipcard-tool list", "chipcard-tool check" und
"chipcard-tool atr". Dann sehen wir weiter...
