License question

Can anyone provide clarification on this clause in the Glassfish license?
Section A 5. Your Service Provider Use is limited to a ratio of two hundred non-Employees for each Employee (200:1) accessing the Software.

I am just making sure that I can deploy a web-based application that utilizes Glassfish without having to comply with this clause.

Seems like it applies to companies offering Glassfish as part of a PaaS solution.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Which license are you talking about? CDDL, GPL, or a license for the Sun
App Server? I don't recall reading the above in CDDL or GPL before.

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply Mark.  It looks as though it covers all of the
software.  This is the title:  Sun Microsystems, Inc. ("Sun") SOFTWARE
LICENSE AGREEMENT ("SLA") and ENTITLEMENT for SOFTWARE

This license is on the download page for Glassfish Enterprise Server v
2.1.1 at the following link:
https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_Developer-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=sges-2.1.1-oth-JPR@CDS-CDS_Developer

Thanks,
Matt

This the commercial GlassFish Enterprise license. You can always use
the bits from glassfish.org which are under CDDL/GPLv2 but I'd
encourage you to contact a Sun sales rep if you're hitting the 200:1
limit, a subscription (patches, support, enterprise manager) might
come handy for such volumes anyhow.

Cheers,
