Good morning from a new member and a new Linux user.
Most of you seem to be very Linux and programming literate. I, on the
other hand, came from Windows XP just two weeks ago so I'm still
learning Linux and this is very much a work in process.
While trying to duplicate most of my windows apps in Linux I found
LightZone for Linux and downloaded version 2.4. However, after untarring
the file and clicking on the LightZone shell script it opens but seems
very incomplete. Clicking the menu bar items won't "hold" and scrolling
the menus is extremely slow. By that I mean releasing the mouse button
to scroll down the menu closes the menu immediately, making for nearly
impossible menu selection.
I'm running a home-built system with an AMD Athlon 64 processor at 2gh
and 1gb ram running PCLinuxOS if that matters.
I seem to be the only person having this sort of problem so presumably
I'm doing something wrong.
Can anyone shed some light on this since LightZone seems to be what I
need for my Pentax k100 raw files?
