Out of possible link representations, only the first one
works in most mail clients.

On a related note,
I would also strongly discourage using tiny URLs, because
they tell nothing about the location and in particular
inhibit the decision process about the safety of a link.

tinyurl.com/example sends you there blind (on most
browsers)

preview.tinyurl.com/example lets you see where you are going.

Thanks for the heads up. They all work fine in Outlook so I forget!

I shouldn't post on my way out the door. Of course the middle one probably doesn't work on any client!

You currently have the preview feature disabled.
The preview feature requires cookies to be enabled in your web browser.

Yeah right, as though such "feature" will make me more likely to use tiny URLs.

The cookie feature would turn on preview for
you even if you did not use preview in the host name.

You can always manually insert preview in the host name.

Also, currently there is no "example" tinyurl.
