Linux kernel development
Substantiel is a young company, which sells the ORDISSIMO
(www.ordissimo.com), a mass market, simple to use computer, for those
who do not know how to use a computer.
We develop a simple to use Operating system, based on GNU Linux Debian,
and on other free software, as thunderbird, xulrunner, openoffice, xine...
all of these are simplified software and can receive updates.
You will help us in making our distribution more compatible with all
peripherals, such as wifi card, webcams, bluetooth receivers, card
readers on laptops, acpi ...
Your open-source community knowledge will be your main help, along with
the manufacturer relationship we will provide you with. Most of the work
will be open-source, in order to be integrated in the open-source
projects mainlines.
You will need a good experience of the linux kernel, and a past
experience in the development of a linux driver or in embedded devices.
