Loading soundfonts for American Classic OrganHi Everybody, (especially Pastor Paul)
What sound fonts should be loaded into the soundblaster synths for American Classic Organ? Where are they to be found? I have three soundblaster type cards that I wish to load up. I want to make sure that the sound fonts I load are the ones I need. This is on Puppy, using the asfxload function of alsa for emux. http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/Asfxload -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial. Re: Loading soundfonts for American Classic OrganUse the same American_Classic_Organ_4.0.sf2 soundfont. Load the soundfont into bank 50 of each synthesizer. I have two soundcards, so I load them up this way, Great Card 1, Synth A (Bank 50-54) Pedal Card 1, Synth B (Bank 50-54) Swell Card 2, Synth A (Bank 50-54) Choir Card 2, Synth B (Bank 50-54) Special effects use Fluidsynth even in the Creative SB disposition since they are not synchro-sensitive. If I were using three cards, I might do as above, but make a new SB element, have the Imperial Trumpet rank reference the soundfont on the third Card, and have it play on a special set of En Chamade speakers! Hope that
helps. Paul From: Pete Theisen <petetheisen@...> To: jorgan-user@... Re: Loading soundfonts for American Classic OrganI just re-uploaded the ACO_4.0 package, now with a "fat free" soundfont. All residual samples that were not used by any instrument were removed. The soundfont now "weighs" 10.5 MB. (No changes made to any disposition.) I also stretched the Great Spitzflute samples downward in the rank so that you won't run out of notes on the three manual Schlicker. Paul From: Pastor Paul C. Hi Pastor Paul, I don't see a Linux version 4 on your website, only the FS (fluidsynth?) version 3.0.1R.pet. Does Windows/Linux matter at this level? > Use the same American_Classic_Organ_4.0.sf2 soundfont.
