Locked Layers

Hi All,

First, since its my first time posting, and it doesn't seem to get
said enough, Bruno, Paolo, and whoever else is deserving, thank you
very much for developing this wonderful library, making it available,
and continuing to so actively develop it.

Second, a question on Layers/OCGs.  I'm working on a project involving
assembling layers for a Layered PDF map, using iText, and we couldn't
find any way to set a layer to Locked in the documentation.  Is there
any way to do this/how would one do this with iText?  If its not
possible, its not that problematic, as we can achieve a similar effect
by allowing a user to set a layer not be shown on the panel so that
the user has no control, but for completion's sake, if its feasible,
we'd like to include the locked setting.

Any comments, suggestions, etc, are much appreciated.

Thanks!
  Josh

Not yet (iText 2.1.1).

It will probably be available in iText 2.1.2.
Meaning: I've added it, but not yet tested it.
(As soon as it's tested, I'll upload it to SVN.)

Bruno

Correction: it WILL be available in iText 2.1.2.
I've just uploaded the changes to SVN.

Hi Bruno,

Thats great to hear.  With full realization that life is kind of
hectic for you, and time frames may not be realistic, do you have a
ballpark approximate timeframe for 2.1.2, or is it still far enough
off that we shouldn't expect to see it any time soon?

Thanks a lot!

We're talking about days, not weeks.
Let's say the next release will be ready before next Monday
(just to be on the safe side; it will probably be sooner).
