I want/need 2-3 seperate working machines in the end, tape drives and such would be nice, monitors and keyboards not needed. I'll basically take anything and am willing to part together from sun manufactured parts. I'd like to locate these in the next week or so and have them on hand in 1-3 weeks. Any assistance you can offer would be great. Thanks very much. _______________________________________________ rescue list - http://www.sunhelp.org/mailman/listinfo/rescue |

I can't help, unless an ss/20 or ss/5 will help, but I gotta ask - why? What's a SPARC 3? You mean Sun-3 (which is 680x0, not SPARC)? /~\ The ASCII Mouse \ / Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML mouse@... / \ Email! 7D C8 61 52 5D E7 2D 39 4E F1 31 3E E8 B3 27 4B _______________________________________________ rescue list - http://www.sunhelp.org/mailman/listinfo/rescue |

That's fine - I can likely imagine some reasn more interesting than the real reason anyway. My best serious guess is data recovery, since it is the OS that is important, and keyboards/monitors are not needed, my next guess would be to run a mature app that is being recoded/transferred to a new platform and thy need to see it run to make sure the code is right... I'd hate to offend a new list member, especially one interested in vintage Sun hardware...
