Looking for volunteer testers for Tiki 4 releaseDear Tiki users,
As you may know, the Tiki development team will be releasing Tiki 4 soon: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Tiki4 But much work needs to be done in the coming weeks to produce that release. One of those things is continuous testing, to help our developers make sure that they are always moving forward without breaking functionality that used to work before. THIS IS WHERE YOU COULD HELP US!!! We are looking for 5 advanced Tiki users (i.e., with admin experience) who would be willing to put 1-3 hours per week over the course of two months, to test the 5 major Tiki profiles and make sure that they remain in good working condition throughout the release effort. Essentially, you would be responsible for testing one of those 5 profiles, once or twice a week, following detailed test scenarios and verifying that Tiki works as it should in those scenario. You would also report any discrepancy to the release team. An example of what we mean by test scenarios, is the following test plan for the Collaborative Multilingual Terminology profile: http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/Collaborative_Multilingual_Terminology#Test_plan If you are interested in volunteering for this, or any other tasks related to Tiki 4 release, please contact me, or add your name and contact information to this page: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Tiki4 Thank you, this will help Tiki4 be the most stable Tiki release ever! Re: Looking for volunteer testers for Tiki 4 releaseHi Alain,
Looking into it where do I find the profiles going into 4.0 and do any *have* test plans or do we take from your example? Re: Looking for volunteer testers for Tiki 4releaseThe 4 featured profiles are here:
http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/Profiles_in_30_installer In addition, we will also be testing the Collaborative Multilngual Terminology profile: http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/Collaborative_Multilingual_Terminology So far, only the later has a detailed test plan. Pascal St-Jean will be working on generating test plans for the other four this week and they should be ready by next week. So far, we have volunteers for the Collaborative_Multilingual_Terminology and the Collaborative_Community ones. If you would like to volunteer for one of the remaing three, that would be great! > -----Original Message----- > From: P Campbell [mailto:pcampbell@...] > Sent: October 27, 2009 3:25 PM > To: Tiki users mailing list > Subject: Re: [Tikiwiki-users] Looking for volunteer testers for Tiki > 4release > > Hi Alain, > > Looking into it where do I find the profiles going into 4.0 and do any > *have* test plans or do we take from your example? > > Tricia > Desilets, Alain wrote: > > Dear Tiki users, > > > > As you may know, the Tiki development team will be releasing Tiki 4 > soon: > > > > http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Tiki4 > > > > But much work needs to be done in the coming weeks to produce that > release.
