Lost Connection

hello all, I'm starting to use rdiff-backup between two servers, but I received this error when I run the command:
rdiff-backup - force - terminal-verbosity 6 xxx @ server: / data / restore / sinc2/arquivos /

"Fatal Error: Lost connection to the remote system"

after making several files.
I am using centos 5.5 X64 with rdiff-backup 1.2.8.

ideas.
