M2010 Powerpack - Fresh Install fails

Morning All,

I have downloaded subject, twice by torrent and once directly.  I have
had the install fail on all attempts to install where there are hordes
of error messages about initscripts not installing properly numerous
packages not installing properly etc.  The md5sum does check out so I am
wondering if others have had the same experience.

Phil

Well I posted another thread about bad 2010 experiences,
and I have now installed it twice, and gotten very different
results.  Getting kernel oops's on first install, but so far
not on the other.  Almost like first install is corrupted.
Did not get any error messages during the install, however.
I have seen the types of problems you mention before, but
only with a bad DVD or one not being properly read by drive.
I would try burning to a different brand of disc if you can.

Hi Norm,

I finally (After the 4th download--3 on torrent and one from direct) got
a good iso file.  I ended up loop mounting the iso and sharing it out
for a network install which seemed to work.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Phil
