MEETING: Annual Meeting of Teachers of Medical Statistics

Annual Meeting of Teachers of Medical Statistics, 1st to 3rd July, 2009.

The aim of the Annual Meeting of Teachers of Medical Statistics ("Burwalls") is to encourage and equip those responsible for teaching statistics to medics. The meeting is an opportunity to chat with others working in the same area, find out what other medical schools are doing, and pick up a few tips.

This year the meeting will be held at Devonshire Hall in Headingley, Leeds. Devonshire Hall has character, but also has en suite accommodation, nearby amenities (good pubs), free wi-fi and a croquet lawn. We are currently planning a varied programme of talks and activities, so please email us soon if there is anything you would like to contribute.

Costs are similar to last year: £150 for non-residential delegates (includes all meals) and £230 for residential delegates (includes all meals and en suite accommodation immediately adjacent to the meeting venue).

Numbers of delegates from each medical school will be restricted to maintain an informal atmosphere, and to ensure each institution may be represented. Therefore please discuss with your colleagues before registering. Institutions wishing to send more than one delegate should discuss this with us before registering, and indicate their first choice delegate on the registration form.
