MHX Web page files

Here they are.  Like I said, Bruce Winter (and several others) had requested these files in the past.  Like I said to them then (and continued to say for years), they won't work at all without some minor changes to the other Web scripts (so that they can continue to work with the framesets.)  They didn't get it then.  Don't know if they get it now.  The details of most of the required changes are in previous posts.

These are exactly as I left them on my old MH server.  Can't guarantee they are all perfect.  Looks like some were never validated with w3c (don't have the emblems at the bottom.)  Of course, that hardly matters at the moment as you can't run these pages without:

a.  Making the fixes to the bin and misc scripts documented in previous posts
b.  Installing my http_server.pl or at least making some minor changes to the old version (documented previously.)
c.  Installing additional support scripts in the bin folder

Do a. and b. and I will send the files to complete c.  Can you follow that?  Finish that and I will post everything else
that I have, except the floorplan scripts, which I would need to generalize a bit more for release (I may never get to that as I don't even run MH at this time.)

While you are at it, un-protect the root data folder (where calendar facts, AP news, movie reviews, etc. are clipped.)  If you require authorization for those clippings, things look like hell for unauthorized users.  Obviously you still protect various folders inside of data (eg email), but not the root.

You will see (hidden) IFrames on some of these.  Those are to refresh content dynamically on capable browsers.  Works great in IE anyway.  We'll see how it does on others.  Certainly beats the old meta refreshes!

This one is just a wrapper for the old floorplan script.  So it too needs beheading.
floorplan.shtml
group.shtml
housestats.shtml
This one is slightly customized, so will need some minor editing (remove my blinds control voice commands, etc.)

Worldclock turned on its ear.  Haven't looked at it in a while, but I remember it was one of the better pages (if I do say so myself.)

Wrappers for beheaded phone_* scripts
This one is customized a bit.  Will need editing.

This one uses an Iframe to display external pages inline (used on sports page only I think.)  Didn't work so hot.
Clearly any Web interface based on visible IFrames is folly at this point in time.  Doubt that will ever catch on.

And what have you got now?  Same thing you had last Summer: a movie of a guy using his Web browser (with an IFrame-based interface no less.)  Good night.  All of this stuff (IR, X10, Web interface) should have been in SVN months ago.  But certain "MH Geniuses" got in the way.  One of them is the guy from the movie.  Good luck.
