MIPS kernel snapshots - 2.6.30-rc8I've built kernel snapshots for mips and mipsel based on 2.6.30-rc8.
Please test them on your favourite MIPS machine and report any problems you encounter to this list. You can find the kernel packages at http://people.debian.org/~tbm/mips/kernel/r13723/ -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-mips-REQUEST@... with a subject of "unsubscribe". For the BCM1480, what is the expected Sibyl fragment? Using the one that I normally use for kernels built from linux-mips.git, output hangs at the console handover. I can't tell how much farther (if any) the kernel is getting: [ 0.000000] 0: 0x000c0000 -> 0x000cffff [CPU1] [cpu1] [CPU2] [cpu2] [CPU3] [ 0.000000] Detected 3 available secondary CPU(s) cp[ 0.000000] Built 1 zonelists in Zone order, mobility grouping on. The latter is required these days (but that should be the same for linux-mips.git). Anyway, I don't have such hardware anymore, so I cannot comment. Thomas, can you check if a Debian kernel boots on the BigSur or whether we need some patches or config changes? I wasn't passing that, but then it doesn't seem to be required for linux-mips.git kernels - just those I get from the Debian project. After fixing that, it gets farther but still hangs partway through the boot process: CFE version 1.3.2 for BCM91480B (64bit,MP,BE,MIPS) Build Date: Thu Jun 8 09:57:58 PDT 2006 (khinzaw@lc-sj1-091) Copyright (C) 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005 Broadcom Corporation.
