MOTU Release done for KarmicThe final deadline for motu-release approved uploads has passed. We had a
good run of fixing the last few days. Thanks everyone for the work. In the event of any OMG, kittens! issues for Universe/Multiverse, please contact ubuntu-release. Special mention to our brave release managers :) How about a MOTU Lucid planning meeting? We've attempted to organise ourselves a bit recently but the meetings have not happened. I suggest Thursday 05 November, 1800UTC. Regards, Iain -- ubuntu-devel mailing list ubuntu-devel@... Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel |

As I understand it the current process requires uploading the package to Lucid before backporting the fix. Does this mean updates are going to be impossible until Lucid is available? I have a package ready to go into -proposed today, however if I have to wait until Lucid is open to upload that could be much longer. If you have an SRU which meets the criteria, and a bug prepared accordingly (justification, ubuntu-sru subscribed, etc.), please upload it. The queue is open, and I'll process them as fast as possible right after release. Right after the release bugs can't be fixed in the dev release first obviously. We will just create lucid tasks and then binary copy the karmic-proposed updates to lucid once it opens, so don't worry about that. I assume it will be handled like in the past: you can upload to -proposed now and once lucid opens you can catch up with fixing it in lucid too. Michael -- ubuntu-devel mailing list ubuntu-devel@... To speed that up, I just finished to review the current queue (from the bottom up to "kdebindings" at the time of this writing), and prepared everything in advance, so after karmic's release I just need to press a few buttons to move them all in.
