MR-350-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1 Yo All! Just got a new Globalsat MR-350 to go with my old Garmin GPS-18/LVC. Both are RS-232 and both do PPS, but otherwise the MR-350 blows the GPS-18 away. The GPS-18 can not get a fix unless outside or directly against a window and needs a clear sky view. The MR-350 is in my basement right now, seeing 10 satellites and reporting a horizontal error of 10ft or better. Now I just need to figure out why the latest gpsd svn has broken PPS. Dumb question, but you aren't using one of the Globalsat RS-232 or USB cables, are you? That would explain your problem with PPS (they don't pass PPS through). -- Chris Adams <cmadams@...> Systems and Network Administrator - HiWAAY Internet Services I don't speak for anybody but myself - that's enough trouble. _______________________________________________ Gpsd-users mailing list Gpsd-users@... https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpsd-users |

Nope. I built my own cable. And I have the same PPS problems with my GPS-18/LVC, so I know it is not hardware related. The PPS into gpsd is just fine, it is the recent 'improvements' that hosed things. RGDS GARY - --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gary E.
