Hello, I have been getting this error whenever I try to run my models on a Mac. The models run fine on ubuntu. The error is log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (MessageCenter.INTERNAL.repast.simphony.ui.RSUIPlugin). log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
When I try to run Repast Symphony without any model, I mean just the environment I get the following error

Check the default version of Java is 1.5 and not 1.6 on your mac (java -version).

If the problem persists, you may need to delete the saved gui state. Delete

thanks for the help. Deleting the default.layout file did the job. I am wondering if there is a reason why this happens. It happens with all the time. So far, every new run, I have to delete the file and re run Repast. Is there a reason for this.

Can you help us debug this issue? Can you tell me the GUI state of you application when you close it? That is, what panels (parameter, actiion tree etc.) exist and what panels are current visible? This error only happens on OSX and I suspect it has something to do with the docking frame library trying to order / load panels.

Hello,
I tried to debug and see when it exactly happens. It seem that the error happens whenever I close the environment and I am viewing either the Parameters Panel or the User Panel, it works fine if I close it when I am viewing the Scenario Tree Panel or the Run Options Panel. My parameters are just scalar parameters. I have tested them on Ubuntu and widows and they work fine. My User Panel is empty, I don't really know what it is used for. I hope this will help, please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you guys. I just started using a MacBook and I can see that this is very frustrating for users who have been using it. By the way, I am using the new operating system.
