Hi guys,
does anybody know a way to get the Mac User Folder in 4D´s path syntax
(e.g. not as a posix path, so no "~/") regardless of the application
type (stand alone, server, client) or version (2004 and v11) or system
(10.4, 10.5 and 10.6)?
I tried GET 4D FOLDER and SYSTEM FOLDER, but you only get to the user
folder from a client machine.
Using current machine owner is possible with 4D 2004 (returns
something like danielmuller, which is the OS user shortname), but it
returns "Daniel Müller" in v11, so this will not work.
At the moment, I use something like this:
$0:=util_volumeOfPath (System folder)+"Users:"+Current machine owner+":"
It would be great, if I could get the same code to work in 2004 and v11.
Viele Grüße
Daniel Müller
