Maggie Simpson and calendars

OK, maybe calendars is a bit of a stretch. On all the high definition episodes of the simpsons, during the opening, when Maggie is scanned at the store, the register displays an amount. The amount exactly doubles as Maggie is scanned. The total before the scan is $243.26. I note that 243 days is the day length of Venus and 26 is the number of fortnights in an Earth year. After Maggie is scanne, of course, the values are 2 Venus days and number of weeks in a year.
