The IT Disaster Recovery Business Systems Delivery Manager is responsible for
the management and direction of the complete life-cycle of the IT Disaster
Recovery strategy and execution of the plan including the hardware, software,
services and processes comprising IT Disaster Recovery plans and operations.
This life-cycle establishes product direction, development, ongoing enhancements
and eventual retirement/replacement, while developing, testing, and maintaining
the necessary processes and standards associated with the IT DR
strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The functions include (but are not
limited to) development, implementation, management and communication of
information technology DR strategies, analysis and plans that support and
enhance business productivity and profitability.
Provides thought leadership to DR management efforts.
Provides strategic direction, consulting and recommendations to senior
management for future direction.
Provides leadership and subject matter expertise in support of functional
efforts to implement DR solutions utilizing respective IT products.
Conducts tests to ensure that recovery procedures and strategies are
effective. Assesses damage, following a disaster, to computer hardware, vital
records, etc., to determine what can be salvaged or restored and what must be
replaced.
Negotiates to acquire funding and leverage opportunities.
Defines and supervises research and analysis on new product and technology
offerings.
Monitors products and new technologies and recommends strategy changes as
needed to meet company objectives.
Determines direction, DR strategy and future DR plans based on knowledge of
industry.
Partners with senior management to establish product strategy to meet
Enterprise goals.
Provides leadership, vision and direction to the technical and business
managers responsible for AAA’s individual tactical DR areas and plans.
Working with people from all areas of AAA, vendors and trading partners,
contributes to developing solutions and serves as an advisor and consultant on
technology trends, issues, opportunities and best practices.
Makes recommendations to business stakeholders on technology opportunities
and provides the means to implement them within considerations for priority and
available budgets and resources.
Ensures alignment with corporate and line of business goals and objectives.
Leads and manages multiple Manager-led teams and ensures the high performance
and productivity of those teams.
Collects and processes data to understand and track IT expense by business
area.
Ensures the adequacy, optimization and reliability of IT DR products and
services that support the line of business goals.
Works directly and through matrix management with leaders and members from
other IT Departments in order to coordinate technology services and products
that enhance the delivery and implementation of the DR strategy.
Manages internal and external resources to complete the projects within
time, quality and budget expectations.
Responsible for concurrent management of several large programs and
projects, and their coordination with other initiatives within the Enterprise
and each other.
Utilizes processes, metrics and reporting tools that benefit the customer
and ensure project goals and internal/external customer expectations are met or
exceeded.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5-7 years experience in managing information technology systems and DR projects and DR tests for a large IT department.
Extensive experience in communicating with executive and operational management.
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business required. MBA or other
advanced degree preferred.
5-7 years experience in the acquisition and management of technology and
technology professionals.
Proven track record of delivering results.
Large-scale project or program management experience required.
Excellent project management, consulting, negotiation and customer service
skills.
Excellent MS Office and MS Project software skills are required.Strong
interpersonal skills.
