Maybe OT?I'm running 8.04 LTS 64 bit server and added the desktop and a few tools, including Sun Netbeans 6.7.
I built a quick page using a couple of the jMaki widgets, one of which is the dojo clock. On opening the page in FF (from Ubu repository), a message appears telling me that FF does not support SVG/VML. Does anyone know if this Is due to the version of FF in the repo? I have found a couple of instances of this in googling, but they all end saying that FF 3+ has SVG support at least. Thanks, as always, for the input. Tom I appreciate the reply. I agree with you that FF does support SVG, as I found in my searches. But what puzzles me is the message. It says that I need a browser that supports this, and am running FF 3.0.11 (from Ubuntu repo). I can't find a reason why this message would appear. If it isn't the version of FF from the Ubuntu repo, then maybe it's a 'feature' of NB 6.7 with jMaki? Thanks for the input. Jack

I found that there are some svg images on Ford's technical site as well as alldata and I never did get firefox to show these diagrams. They specifically required adobe svg plugin in IE on Windows. jay -- ubuntu-users mailing list ubuntu-users@... Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it - svg.enabled default boolean true So, the browser does, in fact, have support for it... I wonder if it's NB 6.7 and jMaki widgets that has the problem? Unless there's something else in the Linux environment that could stop it, I don't think it's a Linux/Ubuntu problem at all. Thanks as always for the help... Regards Jack
