Mechanical properties

 Hi group!!
 I'm modeling a section of soil and I need to establish the elastic
properties as a function of the depth. How can I do this using
Abaqus?

Dear Group,

I want to use *PARAMETER with several quantities to vary. But they depend on each other.

So I tried:

in the psf-file:

parst.define(DISCRETE,par='out',domain=(1,2,3))
parst.sample(REFERENCE,par='out',reference=1,interval=1,numSymPairs=1)

and in the inp-file:

*PARAMETER
out = 1
case out == 1 : X4s = 2

Likewise, I tried
if out == 1 then X4s = 2
end if

both also with a single equality sign. But none of these attempts works; I keep getting syntax errors.

Alternatively: how can this be set in the psf-file ?

Without defining this interdependence the number of simulations to run would be multiplied.
