Message for everyone on the list

As you may be aware, I (Professor Gail Mountain) am Co-Director of KT-EQUAL which has taken over from SPARC (strategic planning for ageing research capacity).  The Consortium spans seven universities.  The coordinator of the Consortium and press officer posts are to be located within the Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies group and are currently out to advert.

I want you to be aware of our forthcoming activities and feel able to support them if appropriate to your interests.  The website for KT-EQUAL is currently located at www.sparc.ac.uk - there you will find details of forthcoming workshops.  We are running a workshop in Sheffield on 27th October on the retail model for  assistive technologies - hope that some of you will be able to attend. There is also a workshop in November in Hertfordshire on robotics. Other activities include a special series in the Journal of Integrated Care on advances in design, built environment and rehabilitation for older people. If any of you feel inspired to contribute please do not hold back!

KT-EQUAL is an EPSRC funded consortium with a national and international remit. However I would like to think that our local community might experience benefit from this activity.
