Microblogging OpenOffice.org at Six ApartHello All,
My employer, Six Apart, has recently launched a new open source microblogging platform called Motion. http://www.typepad.com/go/motion/ This project has been the focus of my work for the past six months, and tomorrow we are holding an install-fest to create new community sites built on the app. Thus, I'm planning to use a domain I've owned for a while, to help support OpenOffice.org and Motion: shareopenoffice.org I've created a TypePad profile to act as the "Featured Member" (one of the requirements) in preparation for building the Motion website tomorrow. The Featured Member can connect his or her TypePad profile to other social networks, and aggregate numerous feeds including RSS, Twitter and others into one centralized location, which is what I plan to do. If anyone can suggest activity streams and feeds for me to add to the profile and website, please share them, and I'll set them up tomorrow. The TypePad profile is visible here: http://profile.typepad.com/shareopenoffice After tomorrow afternoon (New York City time), you'll be able to see the Motion site at www.shareopenoffice.org. In addition to suggesting feeds, I'd really like you all to join this new community with me! Thanks, Ben Benjamin Horst www.solidoffice.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscribe@... Re: Microblogging OpenOffice.org at Six ApartI did not launch the site on Friday (too many other commitments), but
I'm hoping to have my test Motion site, www.shareopenoffice.org, available tomorrow. Even after we launch, it's easy to add new feeds, so feel free to send them! -Ben On Oct 29, 2009, at 11:27 PM, Benjamin Horst wrote: > Hello All, > > My employer, Six Apart, has recently launched a new open source > microblogging platform called Motion. http://www.typepad.com/go/motion/ > > This project has been the focus of my work for the past six months, > and tomorrow we are holding an install-fest to create new community > sites built on the app. Thus, I'm planning to use a domain I've > owned for a while, to help support OpenOffice.org and Motion: shareopenoffice.org > > I've created a TypePad profile to act as the "Featured Member" (one > of the requirements) in preparation for building the Motion website > tomorrow. Re: Microblogging OpenOffice.org at Six ApartMarketers,
Please take a look at my beta site of www.shareopenoffice.org, which is now live! Once the community expands a bit, it will be a convenient aggregator and discussion space for fans and members of the OOo project to share info and news with each other, in a microblogging format.
