Yesterday I received an email from Microchip informing me of their
event in Sydney and NZ next year.

Do they really think I can drop everything with less than a weeks
notice to fly down to Sydney?

Maybe the sales reps couldn't drum up enough support so the 'b' list
was then consulted.

Hmm buy a Pickit 3 and get the admission fee back, not much of an
incentive.

Over here, "next year" is a little more then "a week" away.
Might be different down-under, what do I know... :-)

I know you guys are ahead of us a few time zones, but I didn't realize you
were so far ahead such that next year is less than a week away.

So don't go.  If you don't want to receive future notices, tell your
Microchip rep to get you off the mailing list.  But in either case, whining
to us about it is pointless.

They probably consider this a regional event and sent a message to anyone in
the region.

Ah yes the importance of the missing comma. Next week in Sydney, new year for NZ.

About 6 inches shorter than the requirement.

:: 1. Which one of their offers is best value, and why.
DM240311  nanoWatt board - it's the most versatile.

:: 2. How long is a piece of string?

That would depend on what theory and how many brains there are to the
twilight zone.

Unlike cables, which are consistently too long (according to Wayne)
