Charles in NY, plus...Hey everybody. I have landed in Corning, NY today and have just gotten re-connected to this account. I am still up for generating video/s for the Complex, albeit remotely. In particular Alysse from Cuba's co-pilot had mentioned shooting some complex systems stuff in Cuba to me while she was in SF for her lecture at the Complex. Anything like that the SF Complex/Redfish Group wants to task me remotely for is a-ok if it's deemed possible. And frankly I'll love to do it. I am about 45 minutes from Cornell, so if there's anything needed from there, I am happy to coincide and make it happen. Simon, Stephen and Dr. Woohoo: I packed the Richard Lowenburg interview tape and the Vasulkas archive meeting tape when moving. My gear arrives on Sunday this week, I will send them out snail mail asap. 'Sorry for this hang. I expect my system back up and running in about 7 days. Thanks Dr. Woohoo for having me on the scene for those interviews. Simon: Please keep me in mind for the archive project. Mr. Lowenburg, Woody and Steina: It was very nice to meet you. I hope I can make it a happening again someday. Stephen: It might take time but I am going to try and chase down what we talked about regarding "any surface". Christmas is an interesting time of the year. Simon and Orlando: Rulan has emailed me about her tapes, and I have replied that I left them with Simon, she's back in SF and will be looking to pick them up. Unfortunately compatibility issues plagued the effort for her. Dave Aubrey has the digitized video at his place. Her tapes were in different formats plus we ran into a file size issue. Windows (the ever evil defeatist prog it is) couldn't handle the 4 gig plus raw file sizes at transfer so I was stonewalled there (and I didn't feel comfortable asking Dave to cut them down to size for the transfer process, that would have been a second asking, 'not going there, he's clearly very busy). I have suggested to her that perhaps Dave might bump them to DVD for her, but Dave indicated the last time I spoke with him that he is swamped with work. So I made no promise. Alysse Stepanian: In response to your email to me, you're welcome of course, 'always glad to help. I look forward to seeing your final product. I learned alot from the experience. Current snailmail address is: CRBaldwin - SF Complex EAST (<--- this isn't presumptuous of me is it?) 64 East 3rd St Corning, NY 14830 Cell is the new one: 505 603 5008 Orlando, the grants pages I generated have been lost. I will see if I can visit from this end and will forward out to the discussion list, 'sorry for my bad. We don't have an archive library here so 'not sure about going forward.
