4D Server v 2004, all Windows.
I was asked to add a font to an application. The font is used both for
static text objects on printed forms and for 4D fields and variables
on those forms. At the time I updated the server (Windows 2003) that
machine did not have the new font. (I was told it did. I installed the
new font after I had relaunched the updated server structure.)
Most client machines connected right away and displayed the new font
in both the variables and the static text--no problems. At least one,
however, displayed the new font in the variables and fields but not
for the static text--that was displayed using the missing font squares.
I installed the new font on the server and restarted 4D Server, but
that hasn't fixed the problem. Finally, I installed another server
structure update in the hopes the next client login would update local
resources. I have no desktop access to the problem machines. While I
think trashing the problem clients' 4D prefs files may be the next
step, does anyone have any other ideas why a new font wouldn't show up
on some clients but not others?
Thanks,
Bill
