MisterHouse to HAI Omni Pro II Integration

Hello

I would like to know from anyone, if they have managed to connect a MisterHouse server to a HAI Omni Pro II home automation panel.

I have this type of home automation panel, and am considering setting up a MisterHouse server. That in it's self would be cool, but would offer me little value, if I was not able to control my home automation. I would preferably like to connect via the HAI Omni-Link protocol, but the Pro-Link messaging protocol would also be usable.

Pro-Link uses ASCII messages via serial, so MisterHouse should be able to link to the system, but I have not been able to find any basic serial scripts, all examples seem to use X10, which I am finding difficult to apply to my needs.

Even if somebody can point me in the right direction, would be great.

Thanks
Derek

I'm in the same boat.

Have a look at this:
http://home.austin.rr.com/ccannon7/downloads.htm

I've been able to compile that, and it works.  It gives you a command line interface to your Omni, and Misterhouse could easily use that to interact with the Omni via Ethernet.  The command set looks really comprehensive.  (I haven't done anything with it yet, but I'm considering using it with MH.)  You could also use the serial protocol, but I think that the Ethernet interface would be more convenient.

Thanks

Seems like I need to tackle this from scratch. If you make any progress please post it, and I will do the same.

Ok, so it's taken a while but I am getting somewhere with this.

Seems I am now getting data from the serial port on the Omni to the MH server, but the data is not readable. If I enable serial debug on the MH server, I do see an entry in mh.log serial name=serial9 type=raw data2= and then a whole lot of NULs, the code responding to this sees it as NUL.

My mh.private.ini has the following:-

serial9_port=/dev/ttyS0
serial9_baudrate=9600
serial9_handshake=none
serial9_parity=none
serial9_databits=8
serial9_stopbits=1
serial9_flowcontrol=none
serial9_datatype=raw

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
