MonoDevelop doesn't run on Snow Leopard

I've followed all the instructions on installing tools and SDK for iPhone development at http://mono-project.com/MonoTouch_Installation, however MonoDevelop doesn't want to launch and after some time says "Application Not Responding"

I get the same issue on a fresh install of Snow Leopard following the installation instrucitons closely for yesterday's production release? We purchased MonoTouch and i've spend the best part of a day on this and cannot get MonoDevelop to even start.

1. Clean snow leopard build
2. Install Iphone sdk 3.0
3. Install monotouch (initial release 1.0.2) and check emulator is working
4. install mono 2.4.2.3
5. install mono develop 2.2 beta 1

Start mono develop and it hangs. INi console i get errors exaclty as follows which relate to critical permission errors. I'm running as the account i used to install the operating system and have tried rebooting.

it helped me when i had a similar issue (although on Leopard)

had to run:

sudo rm -rf ~/.wapi
