Monodevelop 2.2 Beta 2 (2.1.1) Local Deploy fail

I'm working on an ASP.net project ported from developer studio to monodevelop.  I had various problems and misadventures with the latest stable version of monodevelop, so I upgraded to Monodevelop 2.2 Beta 2 (2.1.1).  The project builds like a champ, but when I go to Project-> Deploy to Web, deploying to a local directory, I get the following:

Web deploy failed due to unhandled exception.

System.MethodAccessException: DialogDelegate..ctor(System.Object, IntPtr)
