More GNU System questions...

Is there a Savannah project for the GNU System with associated task
lists and project info? I've found Savannah projects for the Hurd and
one called GNU Packaging which seems to be a project related to software
packaging for the GNU System:

 https://savannah.gnu.org/projects/packaging

But nothing for the GNU System itself. Am I missing it? If there's not
one yet, it seems like it would be a good idea to start one as a place
to start working on ToDo lists and such so we can start moving closer to
making releases and getting development going again.

Also, is there an IRC channel for people interesting in getting the GNU
System project going again? I've found the Hurd IRC channels but nothing
for the GNU System yet. Any pointers?

I think this is the project you are looking for.

GNU Packaging project is the right place for this I think.

Okay, thanks, I'll submit my name to join the project. It's discouraging
to see there are only 5 people working on the GNU System. Maybe if the
project name were changed to something more obvious like, say, "GNU
System" it would help? :)

Hmmm... Why name it Hurd if it's about the GNU System? I've actually
been following ##Hurd for a week or two assuming it was a spin-off of
#Hurd. It seems dead in any case. Is there an archive for the channel
somewhere?

K, accepted you to the project.

I'm not sure changing the name would help.  However, building more
hype and educating people would certainly help...  Perhaps you could
work/publicize on GNU packaging's webpage?

There doesn't need to be a single entry for the GNU system
because ALL of savannah is for developing the GNU system.

I think he meant a project to package up a distribution of the GNU
system, for which there has recently been a general resurgence of
interest in :-)
