More graceful handling of 3rd party themes on upgrades?

I don't know if this has been thought about, being worked on or what.
But it looks like at least one person who posted in the thread, and
very likely the person who started this thread have made custom themes
that were working with B1 and broke in B2.

Just tossing it out there.

At some point we'll have to publish changes to our APIs but it's still
too early to do that.  I don't know what he did or what broke, but there
are a wide range of things that we're still tweaking at this point.
