>
> Just a question in-front. Do you have a change to plug-in the wired

Hi, I have encountered a firefox problem over the last few releases of
fedora linux. I switched to slackware and the problem is not prevalent. Now
I try Mandriva and I can see the same problem. Here goes (current setup
Mandriva 2010 free, Gnome desktop and ff 3.5.3, PC sharing KVM switch with
other PCs):

I access a website and I click onto a link. I scroll down the page. When I
use the mouse wheel to scroll back up I am expecting just that. However the
results are unpredictable. Most times the mouse wheel action is similar to
pressing the BACK button and the browser returns to the previous page.
Although the activity is similar to toggling between pages.

With both fedora and mandriva I am using the Gnome desktop, with Slackware
it was KDE.

To add a bit of confusion I plugged a wireless mouse into my laptop (ie. not
through the KVM switch but fedora and gnome) and this presents no problems.

Hey Mozmill Folks,

First, off, Mozmill 1.3 has been released on AMO. :)

We got some feedback from the AMO Reviewer (it's below), and it sounds like something we ought to look into. I've filed bug 530546 for that, so if anyone out there is looking to get started with Mozmill development, here's a great opportunity.

Thanks so much to everyone that made 1.3 a reality, especially Gordon McRight, Henrik Skupin, Heather Arthur, and Mikeal Rogers.

Cheers!
Clint

The following files of MozMill 1.3 have been made public by a Mozilla Add-ons editor:

MozMill 1.3 - ALL

Review Information:
Reviewer: Nils Maier
Tested on Windows with Firefox 3.5
Comments: Approving update based on diffs.

In many places the use of setTimeout/eval() seems unnecessary.
Like:
eval("parent."+this.settings["save_callback"]+"('"+ this.id +"', editArea.textarea.value);");
Could be rewritten as:
parent[this.settings["save_callback"]](this.id, editArea.textarea.value);
Please also have a look at Funtion.apply/.call.

Hey Mozilla QA Community!

This marks the second testday in a row that hasn't been well attended. We didn't reach the 30 person minimum that usually get regularly. With that said, we did get some cool work done as Aleksej is looking to be more and more like a mainstay in our Mobile-centric Testdays!

I was also able to complete a fun and integral project of mine that resulted in an actual guide to strings within one of our litmus testruns. This Fennec 1.0 String Guide will be used to determine and verify that about all 300-some-odd strings are localized within each release during our release test cycles (on top of our current Fennec 1.0 Localizer Smoketest) and for anyone interested in finding out where each string used in Fennec is mapped to within the source code. Take a look at it and vet!

Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone that came to visit the channel and helped out during the day.

Here are the details:

    * Top BugFinder: Aleksej
    * Had a max of 28 in the testday channel at its peak
    * Major contributors outside mozQA: ashughes, AaronMT, aleksej, Milos
    * 7 Bugs Filed
    * Fennec 1.0 String Guide was created on Litmus (within the Fennec 1.0 Localizer Test Run) to help localizers discover strings within the Fennec UI
> For now, maybe five minutes is enough, but we should invest a little
> more time than 5 minutes on this.
>
> Not only should we come up with a list of discreet tasks people can do,
> but with explicit instructions on how to do those tasks.
> > Hey All,
>
> > After my talk on Friday, I realized that we don't have a finite list of tasks that kids can complete within a week or two weeks time to get them started into the community. Right now, we force those who are interested to go through another hurdle, look for a project on QMO and then ask us again, to get started on even doing a task. I want to try to lessen the importance of that by creating this list.
>
> > With that said, I'd like everyone (even those who don't want help) to take 5 minutes out of their day to write down a task or set of tasks that someone coming into the community will be able to do. I've already added two snippets for Mobile and Community Involvement specifically, so I'd really like everyone to fill out these tasks ASAP, so I can relay it to the kids in Jack Aiello's classes.

For now, maybe five minutes is enough, but we should invest a little
more time than 5 minutes on this.

Not only should we come up with a list of discreet tasks people can do,
but with explicit instructions on how to do those tasks.

>

Dear Mozmill testers and scripters,

Nearly 3 month after we have released Mozmill 1.2 we are close to our
next release of Mozmill. Lots of bugs have been fixed and even a couple
of new features were implemented. A nearly complete list you will find
here: http://tinyurl.com/yjl5ney

Everyone who is using Mozmill regularly is welcome to help us in testing
the beta version. As long as no big issues will come up the release of
Mozmill 1.3 will happen next week.

The extension can be downloaded from Github:
http://github.com/mikeal/mozmill/downloads

Users of the pyPI packages only have to run "easy_install -U mozmill" to
get the latest packages for Mozmill, JSBridge, and Mozrunner.

Thanks,

--

We will be spinning Firefox 3.6 Beta revision 2 candidate builds within
the next day or so. We are looking for volunteers to help us spot check
